Like most of the other books by a prolific writer Gustave Aimard this book is dedicated to the topics of Latin America, the American frontier, and Indians. Here, like in other of his books, he questions the attitude of Europeans toward Indians and studies their morals, like raising the question of whether the Indians are really too cruel, or its a mere part of the image created by Europeans for other Europeans to justify the conquest of rich territories.
